PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
Changing construction of the walls of the List Gallery built and altered by persons in the gallery according to instructions received from listserv and chat channel. Map to be structured by protocols posted in Port-MIT listserv (See first draft in the listserv archives). Content of instructions open for participation to anyone with access to listserv or chat channel.

Listserv, Chat, CU-SeeMe video feed from gallery to view map remotely in order to prepare instructions, html graphics and text links for remote printing in gallery, appropriate technologies (hand and small power tools) for construction in the gallery.

Requires participation of persons in the gallery to execute received instructions. Access to printer in the gallery. I will provide materials (to be posted on listserv) for construction.


DANIEL O. GEORGES Sculptor and independent curator. Curator of the exhibition "In the Flow: Alternate Authoring Strategies" for Franklin Furnace through February 1, 1997. Wrote and developed web site for exhibition. Recent sculptures have been pieces in which the form and meaning is altered by viewers' text additions to and physical interactions with the work.
